Britney loses right to see her children

Britney Spears has lost the right to visit her two young sons after refusing to hand them back in an incident that ended with her being taken to a hospital in hysterics.

The Los Angeles judge handling the custody dispute between Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline suspended the pop star's visitation rights at an emergency court hearing, court documents showed.

The documents said Spears' "visitation with the minor children is suspended pending further order of the court."

It added that Federline was awarded "sole legal and physical custody" of the boys.

Spears, 26, lost custody of the boys in October 2007 but had been allowed court-monitored visits three times a week.

The court order was issued as Spears, 26, spent the day in a Los Angeles hospital, apparently under mental evaluation.

Police were called to her Los Angeles home when she refused to hand the boys back to Federline's representatives.

Television pictures showed Spears being taken out of her house on a stretcher and driven to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in an ambulance after a four-hour standoff in which the pop singer reportedly locked herself in a bathroom.

Los Angeles police spokesman Jason Lee said Spears was under the influence of an unknown substance and was being detained and evaluated in the hospital.

Thank goodness those boys are out of that house. Spears needs to take a year off of everything. Flee California and all the distractions. Work quietly on writing songs and recording them. She's got the money and now she needs to take the time.

In a way as I posted before I do feel sorry for her, but she doesn't doesn't get it, if she wants to see her kids she needs to get treated for whatever shes on and for what ever mental illness she has. I believe that if this was a non rich celebrity mother, her kids would had been taken away months ago, and there wouldn't had been as many chances as Spears got.

I could not believe that she ran a red light with her kids in the car and the court appointed social worker. I don't know if she is feeling that she is above the law, or if she really is a mess and doesn't comprehend what shes doing. For me, I don't think she is trying to get her kids back, maybe she believe that the court will side with her since she is the mother ( some cases the mother always get the kids).

I think the mental illness started not when she shaved her head, but with her first marriage which lasted a few hours, and then she marrys about 6 months later.. And a year into if not that she is pregnant, I don;t think she was ready for all of that. She clearly wasn't since she picked up her partying habits. And she doesn't seem to be making them a priority. I doubt she is getting her kids back, and that's probably for the best. ( I didn't ever think that I would side with Federline)
