I would have posted a story but there was too many to chose from.
1600 houses gone, 8 dead, thousands hurt. No end in site. Some started by arsonist.

That's terrible!!! It's all over now? Is that the one that did over 1 billion dollars worth of damage?

It's not really over. The fires are contained. Which means they aren't burning uncontrollably anymore. The firefighters can concentrate on putting the fires out instead of figuring out which was they are going. The fires still burn but will be put out soon - probably in another week or so.
Grab some popcorn and watch as every government agency will blame every other government agency for not doing this or that during the fires. FEMA (Federal Emergency something or other agency) is already getting blasted because it held a press conference only no press showed up so their employees "acted" like the press and those questions and answers were released like it was a real news conference.
On the good side - Disneyland issued full refunds to anyone who had to cancel their trip because of the fires. Disney refunds tickets and resort deposits. They will work with you on getting airline refunds as well. They also do that for any threat of a hurricane in Florida too. I hope other businesses are doing the same thing.
