Tomorrow, January 3, 2006 with be Rich's and my 25th wedding anniversary. Our celebration isn't what I really wanted but that's OK. It doesn't change the fact that we are still together and getting stronger every day.
We were supposed to be in California right now, in San Diego and moving up the Disneyland tomorrow. But the finances didn't allow it so we had to adjust (well *I* had to adjust - Rich doesn't give a rat's behind about all this). We're in Maryland with the in-laws and they will take us out for dinner tonight. On our real anniversary, we'll be driving the 10 hours back to Georgia.
We haven't listened to all those "words of wisdom" that everyone tells you. Who the hell can have a good rip roaring fight and then not go to bed angry? We did receive one great piece of advice from my mother-in-law. We were relocated cross-country and driving with our 4-1/2 month old kid, a dog, and a big UHaul with all our possessions. As we were pulling away, my mother-in-law said "keep your sense of humor". And that's what we've done.
