When I was growing up, there were railroad tracks in front of our house. It went slow thru there and just went to the lumber yard at the end of our street. The train went thru there when Chan was growing up, too. But since----those tracks have been taken out. When I was in Chilliwack, there were train tracks that went behind the property I was staying at. That train went thru a lot faster. It was the same tracks that went over Young near Railway St.

We can hear the trains from both sides. The one Chloe heard was most likely the one that crosses young street, but it could have been the one across the river.
Mark and Greg go down by the crossing at Young to watch trains, and Chloe has learned all about that.
