how did you come up with your pet's name, is there any special meaning to it?

Lucky was just Lucky because he had chosen to be our dog. corny i know, but very fitting considering all the scrapes he's gotten into.

Cinder - she's grey and we didn't know whether she was a boy or girl when we named her.

Daisy - had her name when we adopted her from a lady that was dying.

Frodo - we rescued his mama and two other kittens (she had them in our yard and took up residence); brought them in the house and had given him up for dead. 48 hours later (keep in mind this is a 4-5 week old kitten) I hear this horrific noise in the backyard and there he is, yowling on one of the rocks in our yard for all he was worth. He scratched the heck out of me on the way in but despite being skin and bones - he lost his topcoat too - he is now healthy and has survived with no problems. I guess the underdog surviving against all odds thing is where the name came from.

Todd - he and his brother were schduled to be terminated at 7 months because no one would take both cats. The Humane Society out out a call in Omaha over a very popular radio station. The DJs were named Todd and Tyler. We accepted their names. Unfortunately, Tyler crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Gus and Belle - these two were found behind a neighbor's car dealership in a box. We adopted them right away. Named after Disney characters - Gus the mouse from Cinderella amd Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

Nemo and Meeko - these guys were scheduled to be terminated by a mean farmer by throwing them into the lake. I found out from a co-worker and we adopted them. Nemo after Finding Nemo and Meeko from Pocohonus.

Amd actually, there is a Todd in a Disney movie - The Fox and the Hound. So my cats are named for a dog, a mouse, a human, a fish, and a racoon.

Oh lord....okay, here we go. I have five cats (used to have six) and one stray cat and had a dog.

Dog - Charlie Sheen Estevez - I was a fan. Sue me.

Darren Edward James - Darren for a friend. Edward and James for my mom's brothers who died.

Tamara Annabella - That is what my mom called her friend, Tammy.

Aloysius Jackson Elmer - I wanted an alley cat. Jack was the name of Tammy's husband who found the cat in the field. Elmer was my grandpa's name.

Abigail Rachel - I had an alley cat so I wanted an abby cat, too. Rachel is my grandma's middle name.

Zachary Gregory - Zachary was after my friend's cat who passed away and Gregory was after a shrink.

The cat who now has a new home - Gabrielle Neiko - I think mom named her Gabrielle. I'm not sure why. Neiko was after a friend of ours.

Our stray cat - Bootstrap - He has white feet so my aunt called him Booty. But then Chris and I were thinking his parents might take him and all of their cats have Disney names so I came up with Bootstrap from Pirates of the Carribean. They didn't take him but the name stuck. :)
